VICTORIAN JACKET BLOUSE SET • A gorgeous earth-toned two-piece blouse set from the Victorian era! • Two pieces include a sleeveless vest inner layer and a long-sleeve jacket • Caramel-brown fine wool with blue-ish gray plaid silk with shirring on the waist; front bodice made to fluff outwards • Long fully lined sleeves with puffed shoulders and plaid silk trim on the inner cuffs (I didn't notice until after we had taken the pictures!) • High neck with ruching that wraps around and attaches on the left side with hidden hook-and-eyes • Steel-boned bodice all the way around on both pieces; inner waist band on the sleeveless layer, but no clasps are present • Jacket has metal hook-and-eye front closure • Vest has mother-of-pearl buttons, all are present, and also has hidden hooks on the right side • Vest dips down into a V in back ERA: 1800s COLOR: caramel brown with warm earth tones MATERIAL: unlabeled fine wool & silk LINING: fine brown cotton on both pieces LABEL: unlabeled ORIGIN: unlabeled, likely handmade in USA SIZE: unlabeled, best fits a XXS, please see measurements INNER TOP MEASUREMENTS (no stretch to fabric) LENGTH: 19.5" BUST: 31" WAIST: 24" JACKET MEASUREMENTS LENGTH: 18" BUST: 33" WAIST: 26" SLEEVE: 24" unrolled SHOULDERS: 14" CONDITION: Two small flaws on the back of the jacket that have been very finely hand-stitched. Three tiny moth holes on the back of the vest. The arm holes on the vest are unfinished or perhaps there were once sleeves? Very good condition and a beautiful antique set! - Buyers will hold the seller and/or Elkader Auction House harmless during the removal of their assets.
- Purchased items not picked up during posted hours, or arrangements not made within three business days, will be shipped at buyer's expense.
- 7% sales tax will be added to all purchases unless shipped outside of Iowa. A completed and current Iowa sales tax exemption certificate must be on file for all Iowa resellers to be tax exempt.

Items must be picked up Friday, August 25, 11-4 Central or Saturday, August 26 from 11-2 at our downtown Elkader, Iowa, warehouse at 110 Mulberry Street Rear, in the alley straight across from the Elkader Post Office on the left. Our auctions move quickly and we don't have room in our warehouse to store sold items. If items are left after 2 p.m. on Saturday, they will be packed for shipping.
Worldwide shipping is available. If you are a regular bidder or you have an out-of-state address, we'll assume you'd like your items shipped and we'll contact you the week following the auction with an updated shipping invoice. Please allow up to two weeks for us to process shipping orders. Sales tax will be charged unless you have a reseller certificate on file or your item/s are to be shipped out of state.
