Promotional misc: dolls & balls

WELCOME! This is a special collectibles auction to honor Barbie, first released in 1959. This collection is about 65% old store stock from a former doll shop in NE Iowa with many near-perfect wholesale boxes of dolls, and everything Barbie related. We also had a large consignment of older Barbies and many Barbie-branded collector outfits. Due to our fast-paced auction scheduling, this auction is ONE-WEEK ONLY. I wanted this auction to be enjoyable and helpful for collectors and resellers, as well as individual smaller collectors who might have adored Barbie in their youth and want to pass the love to others. Think Christmas in July and get all your holiday shopping done six months ahead schedule! Barbie is HOT right now so stock up!

Regarding condition, many boxes came to us in their original shippers so are most are in excellent condition, some near perfect condition with original tissue or even unsealed from their shipper. There may, however, be the occasional nick or scratch on packaging. I do try my best to show everything accurately in pictures, we're dealing with a very high volume in a very short time so if you are extremely concerned with condition on a particular item, please ask. Dolls are from a non-smoking location.

I've learned a great deal the past week getting this auction organized! Thank you so much to those who shared their knowledge and advice with me, most notably Lauren from Ferndale Vintage in Sumner, Iowa, who helped me tremendously. My mom, Victoria, was also a fantastic help in the warehouse. I appreciate you very much!

National and international shipping is available. We will be shipping in the original shipper boxes whenever possible so you may have multiple individual packages to ship rather than combined, but we will do our best combine shipping when possible. 

Bidding will be here on ElkaderAuctionHouse.com and takes place online only. You must register and have a credit card on file to bid. All credit cards will be charged immediately after auction close unless the total is over $1,000. A buyer's premium of 10% applies to all purchases.

 

To participate in an auction, buyer agrees to the following terms and conditions: 

1. A 10% buyer's premium will apply.
2. All items are sold as-is and without warranty or guarantee, without exception.
3. All sales are final.  
4. Please take advantage of the preview dates to personally inspect the items for sale. Elkader Auction House assumes no liability for the accuracy of the description of the items being offered. It's the buyer's responsibility to conduct due diligence prior to bidding, as there are no refunds, returns or exchanges. Contact us for details on any specific items before placing bids. This service is provided for guidance only, without legal obligation.
5. SHIPPING IS AVAILABLE. All orders are shipped insured and carefully packaged to arrive safely. Actual cost of shipping will be added to your invoice, along with the cost of packing materials and a reasonable handling fee. Large, unusual, or fragile items can be very expensive to ship. 
6. Credit cards on file will be charged immediately after the close of an auction unless prior arrangements have been made, or if invoice total is over $1,000. 
7. Removal is buyer's responsibility. Buyer must bring enough help, boxes, packing materials, carts, etc. to remove purchased items.
8. Buyers will hold the seller and/or Elkader Auction House harmless during the removal of their assets. 
9. Purchased items not picked up during posted hours, or arrangements not made within three business days, will be shipped at your expense.
10. 7% sales tax will be added to all purchases unless shipped outside of Iowa. A completed and current Iowa sales tax exemption certificate must be on file for all Iowa resellers to be tax exempt.

Items must be picked up Friday, July 21, (the day of BARBIE THE MOVIE release!) 11-4 Central or Saturday, July 22 from 11-2 at our downtown Elkader, Iowa, warehouse at 110 Mulberry Street Rear, in the alley straight across from the Elkader Post Office on the left. Our auctions move quickly and we don't have room in our warehouse to store sold items. If items are left after 2 p.m. on Saturday, we will assume you'd like your items shipped.

Worldwide shipping is available. If you are a regular bidder or you have an out-of-state address, we'll assume you'd like your items shipped and we'll contact you the week following the auction with an updated shipping invoice. Sales tax will be charged unless you have a reseller certificate on file or your item/s are to be shipped out of state.
